Vets For Freedom: Call To Action Nov. 5th

It is my honor to pass on this information for our Vets. These men and women have fought very faithfully and through many hardships and terrors to keep us alive and free. Now it is our turn to make sure this war is not lost.

Please go to DC on the 5th of November and/or donate whatever you are able so a Veteran may have the benefit of looking these weak politicians in the eyes and explaining to them in person and in plain English why it is so very important to gather the grit it takes to win this Victory.

Yes, Victory is possible and we shall achieve it. Now we just have to get these critters out of the way!

Sign Up to Show Up on November 5th in Washington, DC.

Dear Vets for Freedom members:

Last year, Vets for Freedom brought hundreds of veterans to Capitol Hill to support General Petraeus and the Iraq Surge. The result, our commanders and troops on the battlefield got the resources they needed, and we're winning the war in Iraq.

Now, we must do the same for the troops in Afghanistan! You signed our petition calling on President Obama to "Give the Generals What They Need," now join us on Capitol Hill to support General McChrystal.

This is another call to action. We are asking every Afghanistan veteran, and other veterans, who believe in defeating America's enemies to converge on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC on Thursday, November 5. It's time for the warfighters to tell their representatives--face to face--to give the Commanders what they need.

CLICK HERE to SIGN UP to join us in Washington, DC on November 5th! The sooner you sign up, the sooner we can schedule meetings for you!

We all hope that President Obama makes the right decision, by heeding the advice of his commanders and "surging" in Afghanistan. But in order to ensure he does--and shore up support for a troop increase in Congress--it is important to make our voices heard.

We will meet with Republicans and Democrats alike, making the case for a properly resourced counterinsurgency campaign, that allows the U.S. to defeat the Taliban and Al Qaeda, complete the mission, and bring the troops home in victory.

SIGN UP NOW! More details are provided on the sign up page.

If you can't make it to Washington, PLEASE CLICK HERE TO DONATE. We hope to raise enough money--from the supporters of Vets for Freedom--to ensure that everyone who makes the trip is reimbursed at some level. Every dollar donated to Vets for Freedom between now and November 5 will go directly to covering travel costs of veterans.

Lastly, please forward this email to everyone you know. Post it on your blog. Print it out and hand it out to friends. Get the word out, so we can get as many veterans on Capitol Hill as possible.

This is our mission. This is our moment. Join Vets for Freedom on Capitol Hill and do your part to support our commanders and troops in Afghanistan.

See you on the 5th!

Pete Hegseth
Vets for Freedom, Chairman and Executive Director

P.S. Please consider DONATING to cover the travel cost of a veteran. Every dollar you give will go to covering the cost of travel for a veteran.

Keep up the great work Pete, and Godspeed to all of our fellows and gals. Thank you.

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again.

Get Out The Voice Tea Party

Below you will find information concerning the Tea Party being held this coming Tuesday at our City Hall in Long Beach, California. Why at the City Hall? What do they have to do with Healthcare? Good question. I have a good answer.

Most of the people who get elected to City Council are more ambitious and may only serve two terms. This gives them a resume to take to Sacramento or to the Congress with them. I want to diswade any thoughts of voting yes for any kind of socialist government!

Plus, we can march back and forth from the City Hall to the Courthouse, and the Courthouse is on Ocean Blvd. Many people will be able to see us, and they can then be informed as to the sneakiness and corruption that is actually happening on their so-called behalf.

Many judges, lawyers, voters, and others who may be interested in protested but have not known how to or where there is a group of people who felt as they do will be easily available for them. ;)

Event Description

October 13, 2009, there will be a Get Out The Voice Tea Party held at 333 W. Ocean Blvd in Long Beach, California, between 4pm and 7 pm. Seven pm is when they have their Council meeting. The Courthouse is right there on Ocean Blvd, so we will be seen this time. We must do this at this time to let the critters in Washington know that they are not hiding anything from us.

We have very little time. I need help. If anyone knows of someone who would be willing to speak at our Tea Party, please contact me. Please put Speaker(s) somewhere in the subject line. Hey, if you want to speak, that is alright also.

I am going to posting this information over at Long Beach Patriots as it comes to me. Please contact me anyway to let me know you will be there.

Bring also your flags, T-shirts, buttons, etc. We have been fighting this all summer. We have been winning. How can I tell? Because they are trying to break the law to get this passed! We must help the people in Long Beach to be aware of what is happening to them behind their backs.

You all have been a great help in the past. It has been a tough road to hoe. I understand this but remember, there's no turning back if we lose this fight. This is down to the knock-out punch. Please be there, and bring your friends, parents, and children! Thank you.

Racism: More Than A Word

Let's say a white man were president and he had the same ideology as Obama, would the response by those Tea Party Patriots have been the same? You bet your sweet buns. Why? Because we love our country and don't need anyone apologizing for her, we love our Constitution and are tired of both parties disregarding it after they swore on oath to protect it, and we also treasure our liberty which entails us, as individuals, to be responsible for ourselves, and not being slaves to any government.

Now that I have made my case as to why we oppose this president and it has nothing to do with race, we are called 'racists' because we disagree with the status quo (that being to agree with everything they believe in even though we do not).

When you call someone a 'racist', please make sure they are indeed a 'racist'. It is the same as when a woman cries 'rape' after the fact because she is mad and it turns out not to be true. What happens to her when she is actually raped? That's correct. People do not believe her. Worse than that, if there could be a worse, is the fact that it sets all women in a bad light. We have to fight very hard to get back to where we started from because of this.

When there is true racism, I want to know about it. I want it eradicated from our country. How can this happen when people like Maureen Dowd use this term so irresponsibly and often? She is not the only one by far, just the most recent.

Racism is a very hateful, ignorant, violent indecency that has plagued this nation long ago and sadly, still exists in some hearts. It is real, it is violent, it is ugly, and it should never be used as a means of shutting up the opposition when you have no other argument. Disagreeing with someone is not racist. You cannot judge another person's words on your own perception of them. Maybe you are harboring something we should know about?

Well Maureen, you are very unintelligent and harmful to the actual meaning of the word 'racism'. Because you give it so little thought or credence, you diminish the word. Is it because you live in a glass house? Is it because you have never slept with a black man? Yes, I said that. If you had, you might understand that racism is real and you don't go throwing words like that around on a whim.

Racism is so serious that it scars people for life. As I was growing up, I was called a n******-lover. That is only half true. I loved a black man (he was a REAL man), and I wasn't going to allow people like you to interfere with my life no matter how uncomfortable it made you feel. Did you ever stop to give a damn how you made me feel? No, you never did.

And now you're trying to make up for it? You're barking up the wrong tree, witch. If you only know how much I would rather use the other word! It is fitting, but I would like to think I'm above that. I know I'm not always, but at least I can admit it. Can you?

'Tops' Tea Party

This Independence Day we had another Tea Party, America's Freedom-Long Beach Tea Party, and it was the tops. I learned many thing from the April 15th Tea Party, and I tried to fix those mistakes. Well, on paper I did, but in really things just flowed smoothly even though I was disorganized. I forgot to plan for people not showing up on time.

The Tea Party was scheduled for Independence Day, 12-3pm at 130 Cherry Ave, Bixby Park, Long Beach, California 90802, and it lasted about 2 hours at its peak, 3 hours altogether. Here is the schedule of events as they really happened, not the one I had planned. Although it was pretty close.

It was marvelous to see 110 people come to our Tea Party in liberal Long Beach, California. Everyone was so thoughtful and helpful. Roxanna bought a helium pump for the balloons which worked perfectly. If you could have been there to see the expressions on the children's faces as we freely gave them balloons! No, they were not part of the Tea Party but being the Conservatives that we are, we love children. Of course we did ask their parents first if we could give them to their children. They were so happy.

Most of the people signed in this time, however many people came as the Tea Party was in progress. My brother counted 50, and 60 people signed in. They were energetic, patriotic, helpful in many ways, cheerful, and it was a very pleasant experience. They were also tired and fed-up with being overtaxed, paying for other people's bailouts, this enormous health care boondoggle which threatens our very good system and will make the fraud in Medicare and Medicaid look like chump-change. Yes, there was much to discuss.

We began with Barbee singing "God Bless America" and everyone joined in. It was beautiful. She has a delightful voice. Then we said the Pledge of Allegiance, and we even dared to use the words IN GOD. Oh my. Then the Declaration of Independence was read by a very nice gentleman (whose name I forgot to get). Then I read a few verses of the NIV version of the Bible with the theme being, "Healing Our Land": 2Co 4:8, 16, 17 and 2Ch 7:14. It was graciously accepted by all.

After that, we had quite a bit of time before our guest speaker was to arrive, so we kind of went off schedule. I'll try my best to recall the events as they occurred. There was a daughter, Jamie, who wanted to read something for her mother who was to speak after Jamie. What she read was awesome. It was "I Am The Nation" (I think that's the name of it). Excellent job, Jamie.

Then her mother, Jeanne, read "The Letter" written by a life-time Democrat turned Republican turned without a party. It is an open letter sent to our officials in all offices and the press. Glen Beck read it on the air (I do not get him on my radio), and Jeanne just had to read it. I don't blame her. It is quite remarkable letter, and you did an excellent job Jeanne.

At 1pm, we had our special guest speak. She is running for Superintendent of Schools and her name is Diane Lenning. She was remarkable. Her ancestry includes General and President of the United States George Washington. She is interested in changing the curriculum to include the true history of this great country. There were many things said, but I was impressed the most when so many answered her call to give homage to those who fought before and/or are still fighting so we could have this day. There were too many for me to keep track of while counting. I was so very proud of everyone there.

There was one young man who absolutely amazed me. He brought hope to everyone there. How did he do that? He is young, in college, well spoken, an American who happens to be black, yet people have called him a racist. Huh? Yes. This is because he believes the rule of law should apply to everyone equally or no one equally. So do I. He also believes in a free market system and wonders where are the supposed free market politicians? Twenty years old and smarter than some of the people I know. He just blew me away. So much, in fact, that I forgot to get his name of all things. I surely hope he signed in. At least I can find him through email.

On the subject of Americans who happen to be black being called racist. It occurs most of the time when it comes to illegal aliens. How is it fair that if you're here in our country illegally that the rule of law bends over backwards for you, yet does not give two hoots about her own citizens? Everyone at the Tea Party agreed. By the way, there were Democrats and Republicans there. This was truly a nonpartisan event.

Then the man who read the Declaration spoke about the Fair Tax. After him, many people spoke their minds. There were some very good ideas bantered about. It was a breath of fresh air to hear citizens and not politicians speak. They came up with simple ways to solve our economic, social, and spiritual problems.

Some of the policies promoted were as follows:

  • 1. July 17th: Flood the 89 offices of the elected officials to let them know we do not want their health care insurance boondoggle.
  • 2. Make our elected officials aware of the consequences of their cap-and-tax...er...trade will have on every community. This was brought home by our guest, Ken, from Detroit, who has had to move here while his wife stays in Detroit for 9 years because Chrysler closed. He made us aware that only Germans were allowed to work in the jobs that were lost to union workers, and they were not permitted to join a union. This is information we are not hearing from the press. Gee, I don't wonder why.
  • 3. There was one person there, I'm sorry I did not get his name, who brought up the idea of the Fair Tax. I do not agree with this, but I allowed him to speak. After all, what if he's right? I certainly wouldn't disagree with shutting down the IRS!
  • 4. Our very handsome College student wants more freedom of thought in the schools. He also wants fairness. It is not okay that Liberals can rewrite history and do whatever they want, but Conservatives are held back from telling the truth and doing as they please. He just wants EQUAL freedom.
  • 5. This one is closest to my heart. This is the one which we all agreed. This day was available due to those who are in harms way to this day. We honored the Revolutionary War with their daughters and sons in attendance, we honored the War of 1812 with one of their descendants, we honored WWI with their descendants, we also honored WWII, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq with their descendants and loved ones.

We were actually not just protesting these policies, we were there to bring alternative policies which seem to be lacking in Congress and our state of California. Some were very good, some I disagree with, but I allowed them to be discussed. Who am I to censor free speech? (I did censor any cussing and way off common sense such as name calling which gets us nowhere. Fortunately, I did not have to use it.)

If you are interested in helping us stop the movement in California by going to these 89 officials offices in person, please contact me. I am going to need much help, and this is to happen on July 17. So I do not have that much time to get ready! Especially since my next Tea Party is going to be September 12, 2009. All are welcome.

PS. IF YOU WERE THERE AND SPOKE, please e-mail me and let me know your name, what you spoke about and when you spoke. Please, for the people who's names I forgot, let me know who you are. Also, please forgive me for this. I am truly sorry I forgot your name. How embarrassing. Mr. Video man, please let me know your name also. Sounds like I was really in charge of everything doesn't it? NOT! D'oh!

Update: Please be advised there is more to come. A kind man, Frank Oliveri, who took pictures is sending them to me through snail-mail as soon as they are ready. Thank you.

Long Beach Tea Party Infomercial

This wonderful man has made an infomericial for our Tea Party on the 4th of July. He makes phamphlets, business, and signs at Bring Home The Politic. His name is Michael Norbury, and he is very gracious.

Great job! Thank you so much, Michael.

He has a petition that needs to be signed concerning something near and dear to my heart. Bring Home The Politicians! It's very interesting. Read it before you sign it. That's my standard adivce to everyone concerning everything you sign. Then I know you'll want to sign it.

He will also have available bumper stickers, t-shirts and the like at a later date, so keep going back to this site to find out when. We might want to buy some memoirs while we still can. After all, have you noticed how slow he reacted to the slaughter of peaceful civilians in Iran by their goverment and how quickly he denounced the Supreme Court of Honduras for holding to their democratic constitution? Need I say more?

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again.

Iranians To Regime: BEAT IT!

First I would like pass along my condolences for the families of Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson. May your loved one rest in peace, and may you find peace at this time of grief.

Now to Iran. I found this marvelous video over at Blackfive's (Uncle Jimbo posted it), and I just had to 'borrow' it. After all, he 'borrowed' it from Gateway Pundit who 'borrowed' it from...well, you get the idea.

This a video where someone has dubbed the song Beat It over the actual events. It is a collage put together by mydorood. The Iranian sure are creative. Check out what they've done.

BEAT IT YOU FANATICS!!! GET OUT OF MY LAND!

If for some reason you have any trouble with the embeded video, here is the link.

Feel free to share this video with all your Iranian friends as a sign of solidarity. Pray for the day when that regime actually does beat it so they may live free. God bless.

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again.

Dissidents Turn To Israel For Help

It appears as if President Obama does not really care about womens' rights, freedom, Liberty, the 1st or 2nd (or any) Amendments, so Iranian dissidents have turned their eyes toward an unexpected neighbor. Israel. Here is an excerpt:
Iranian Dissident: Dear Israeli Brothers and Sisters - Help Us!
by Nissan Ratzlav-Katz

"Dear Israeli Brothers and Sisters," writes Iranian dissident Arash Irandoost, "Iran needs your help more than ever now. And we will be eternally grateful. Please help opposition television and radio stations which are blocked and being jammed by the Islamic Republic (Nokia and Siemens) resume broadcast to Iran. There is a total media blackout and Iranians inside Iran for the most part are not aware of their brave brothers and sisters fighting and losing their lives daily. And the unjust treatment and brutal massacre of the brave Iranians in the hands of the mullah's paid terrorist Hamas and Hizbullah gangs are not seen by the majority of the Iranians. Please help in any way you can to allow these stations resume broadcasting to Iran.

"And, please remember that we will remember, as you have remembered Cyrus the Great's treatment of you in your time of need," Irandoost concludes, signing his blogged call for help "Your Iranian Brothers and Sisters!" [Please read the whole article at Israel News.]
What is happening is atrocious, and the world remains silent. Is this how Hitler rose to power? I thought we swore, "Never again!"? Shall we sit here, comfortably, getting ready to celebrate the 4th of July? What does the 4th of July really mean to you if you can sit by and say nothing?

These are our brothers and sisters. Especially if you are a Christian. What can we do, you ask yourself or me? We can burn the phone lines down calling President Obama (1-202-456-1111) and let him know what you think of his silence! You can call your representatives (1-202-224-3121 or 225-3121, they both work) and encourage them to speak out for the dissidents in Iran. We can also encourage them to put the money back into the fund set up by the Republicans and some Democrats for the Iranian dissidents. We can help them with news through TV stations that the mullahs won't have the time to block, at least not all of them! We can also use the radio. Whatever ideas you have, share them.

Where are all the Muslims who rallied when you thought it possible that any type of book could be flushed down a toilet let alone a Koran? WHERE IS YOUR VOICE? Do you not see the horror? Or do you approve of it? How about it CAIR? Yes, I guess we know where you stand.

Let me tell you something, though. There were people protesting all across this nation. I did notice you. There were probably more of you than any TV station is about to admit, which leads me to question whether or not we truly do have a free press or just a lazy one? From New York City to California. From sea to shining sea. Yes, injustice was proclaimed by the PEOPLE, not by these so-called groups that claim to represent you. Please remember this the next time they start squaking. It's probably for their masters. Do you really want to please those dictators? I didn't think so.

Everyone stay safe, keep praying, keep protesting, and come to my Tea Party on the 4th of July at Bixby Park, 130 Cherry Ave, Long Beach, California. We shall be having a moment of silence, and I will be wearing a green t-shirts. I will have green ribbons for you as well. You don't have to wear one. It's up to you. What is right is right, and it doesn't matter that it's not happening here. The truth is, it most certainly could. We must all be grateful. Have a nice day.

Tea Party: When & Where

For those who e-mail me:
It's so nice to hear from you. I've written a post of sorts so I don't forget anything while I let you know what we have planned so far. After all the speakers (so far there is Dianne Lenning and myself) are finished speaking, I would like to hand the bullhorn over to the people who've shown up. Give everyone 5 minutes to speak whatever is on their mind. If you have any ideas that you don't see here, please feel free to share them with me. Until then, take care and may God bless your family and you.
The Tea Party is going to be held inside Bixby Park this time. I've been giving the address 130 Cherry Ave, but we are going to actually be inside the park. Do you know where the bandshell is? It's sort of a stage over by Junipero Street. You should able to recognize us. My brother is also going to have signs up with arrows. Wheh!

It starts at 12 noon. If you could bring some chairs (folding, lawn, etc.), that would be great. That is, if you want to sit. It does last until 3 pm or so. I have 1 speaker (besides myself) confirmed, Candidate for School Superintendent Diane Lenning, and I was hoping everyone (or most of us) would like to have an opportunity to say a few words. After all, it is our Freedom Day! Independence. What a beautiful thing. Now if we could only get it back...

Here is the basic information I have up all over the place:
When: Noon-3pm, Saturday, July 4th.
Where: Bixby Park, 130 Cherry Ave, Long Beach, CA. Then we'll move over to the stage hub around 11:50am.
Map: Click here.
E-mail Rosemary.
Website: Rosemary's Thoughts.
Live Free or Die Trying!

There will be music, the playing of the Star Spangled Banner, a reading of the Declaration of Independence with some additions, balloons (maybe you could blow up some red, white and blue balloons?), and bring a flag or two. If you would like a $2 Taxed Enough Already (TEA) button, let me know. I have ordered 50 of them. If there are going to be people that want one, I will have to order more.

We are still need of cameras and videos. Please bring them, even if you think someone else is going to. We could use all the pictures and tapings we can get. The last time, I was asked to write an article, and it was published! Oh, please don't forget to sign in. This way, I will know how many people actually attended. It was very difficult last time, because I received many different estimates. Please write legibly. Some of you have atrociout penmanship. LOL.

It is not required for you to leave your email address or phone number but if you do, I'd really want to put it with the rest of the Tea Party participants. This way I can thank you for attending and keep in touch until the next one on September 12, 2009. Hey, I cannot make it to Washington, but that doesn't mean we can't party! ;)

Feel free to come up with some of your own ideas. We are also protesting our state's gov't in Sacramento! They're talking about raising taxes again after they raised taxes, then tried to fool us into raises taxes on ourselves but was vehemently trounced, and now they want to raise taxes agains? PEOPLE ARE RUNNING OUT OF THIS STATE! We have to let them know this cannot, will not, stand.

We are looking forward to seeing you. Until then, keep your chin up, stiff upper lip, and have a wonderful day.

Sincerely,

Rosemary

PS. This is a good Conservative social network that I belong to: Smart Girl Politics where I have posted this event: America's Freedom-Long Beach Tea Party. It is also posted at our Tea Party Patriots site. Don't miss them! If you feel as if you want to help but don't know how, these are the places to go. There is a state of California page, and we are doing great things. At least check them out. God bless everyone!

May you walk with the LORD always, and when you cannot take another step, may He carry you the rest of the way until you can walk along side Him again.

Great pics by Bubba: NC vs WBC

He has some of the best pictures around. When West ‘Baptist Church’ showed up to protest Fort Bragg on 16 July 2008, they met with a resistence that…well…you have to see it for yourselves. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

The link is right here. Go give yourselves a treat, courtesy of Gathering of Eagles.
